Job Description Job Summary The Staff Physical Therapist provides direct patient care, including assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of physical therapy interventions to children with a variety of musculoskeletal, neurological, and developmental conditions. This role focuses on optimizing function, promoting independence, and enhancing the quality of life for pediatric patients within a specialized hospital setting. Key Responsibilities Upon receiving a licensed independent practitioner referral, implements a systematic patient examination and evaluation utilizing comprehensive compliant and safe clinical care demonstrating the philosophy of family centered care Works with medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized plans of care to meet the needs of the patient and their family. Makes appropriate discharge plans by collaborating with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team. Functions as a team member and develops leadership skills through activities such as mentoring and providing education to students and other professionals. Supports risk management and compliance initiatives through accurate, thorough documentation. Required Qualifications Education necessary to obtain License in State of Practice Massachusetts PT license Preferred Qualifications 1-year physical therapy experience; will consider new grads Pediatric experience Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
