Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role working with students during an Extended School Year (ESY) program, taking place from July 6th through August 3rd. This opportunity is perfect for a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) eager to make a difference in a supportive school environment. Enjoy a consistent, part-time schedule of approximately three days per week, providing essential therapeutic services to help students achieve their mobility and physical development goals.
Key Qualifications:
Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Previous experience in school-based settings or pediatric populations preferred Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with educational teams, students, and families Ability to implement and document individualized plans of care Flexibility and adaptability within a school environment
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Collaborate with teachers, other therapists, and school staff to integrate therapy into the educational setting Conduct student assessments and contribute to IEP meetings as needed Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions and student progress Offer guidance to staff and families on strategies to enhance students' physical abilities Support a welcoming and inclusive school culture This contract assignment is a great chance to make a positive impact over the summer, work closely with a dedicated educational team, and support students' physical development in a relaxed and focused atmosphere.
