1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Long Term Care setting, requiring 1+ year of PT experience and MA state licensure. Details Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility setting within the Physical Therapy unit 8-hour day shift schedule No weekend or on-call requirements 13-week assignment Requirements MA state PT license required 1+ year of PT experience required LTC or Rehab setting experience required New graduates accepted if Level II clinical experience was completed (Level I observation experience alone not accepted) License required if applicable One professional reference required for consideration Additional Information Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs Develop and adjust individualized plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice Administer treatments including manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercise, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices Provide consultation and education to patients, families, and caregivers Communicate patient progress and treatment plans with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members Complete comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate treatment documentation in the electronic system Participate in required facility meetings, trainings, and in-services Supervise physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students as needed Adhere to APTA standards and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics Maximum RTO request of 5-7 days depending on facility
