Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Physical Therapist supporting students from kindergarten through twelfth grade. In this role, you'll play a vital part in promoting mobility, independence, and academic access for learners with diverse needs. Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multi-disciplinary teams while providing direct and consultative physical therapy interventions during the school day.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Maryland Physical Therapy License required Experience working in educational or pediatric settings preferred Strong ability to adapt interventions to meet varied student goals across grade levels Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teachers, administrators, and families Proficient in developing and implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct PT services to K-12 students as outlined in IEPs Conduct assessments and develop data-driven treatment plans Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed Provide consultative support and professional development for educational staff Complete thorough and timely documentation, maintaining compliance with special education laws and district guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and student support teams Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all students
