This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with various musculoskeletal conditions and injuries, as well as designing and implementing personalized treatment plans to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall functional abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Evaluation:

• Conduct thorough initial assessments of patients to determine their physical condition, medical history, and treatment goals.
• Perform objective tests and measurements to identify impairments and functional limitations.

Treatment Planning:

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on the evaluation findings and in accordance with physician referrals and patient goals.
• Set clear and achievable short-term and long-term goals for each patient's rehabilitation.

Therapeutic Interventions:

• Administer various therapeutic interventions, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation), and functional training.
• Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and home exercise programs.

Progress Monitoring:

• Continuously assess and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
• Communicate regularly with patients to track their response to therapy and address any concerns.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate and timely patient records, including evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans, in compliance with clinic and regulatory standards.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and physical therapy assistants, to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Patient Education:

• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, proper body mechanics, and self-management techniques.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ad to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Stay current with industry best practices and continuing education requirements.

Equipment and Facility Maintenance:

• Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of therapy equipment.
• Assist in keeping the clinic clean and organized.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• State licensure as a physical therapist.
• CPR certification.
• Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients when necessary.
• Continuing education is necessary to stay current with best practices and emerging techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in outpatient physical therapy.
• Specialized certifications (e.g., orthopedic, sports, pediatric, and neurologic).
• Knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
