Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a full-time Physical Therapist in the Kalamazoo, MI area. You'll have a meaningful impact working across multiple schools, delivering exceptional care while helping students achieve their goals. In this full-time assignment (35-40 hours per week), you'll collaborate with educators and families across Climax-Scotts, Comstock, Parchment, Gull Lake, and Galesburg-Augusta school communities. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding children through evaluations, direct therapy services, and thorough documentation of student progress.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in Michigan Prior experience in a school-based PT setting preferred Strong understanding of developing and implementing individualized therapy plans Skilled in conducting evaluations, writing detailed service notes, and tracking progress Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Adaptability to work across multiple school sites with diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for students, according to school guidelines Develop and deliver individualized, evidence-based PT services to meet student needs Maintain accurate and up-to-date service notes and documentation Consult with teachers, staff, and family members to support each student's success Participate in IEP meetings, contribute insights, and recommend modifications to support student growth Travel between assigned schools within the district as needed Here's your chance to make a difference by helping students maximize their mobility and academic engagement.
