Richmond, Michigan The primary responsibility of the Physical Therapist is to provide excellence in the Physical Therapy Standard of Practice while demonstrating the HealthQuest Physical Therapy philosophy of care. It is also the responsibility of the Physical Therapist to maintain a full patient load while keeping up with the documentation requirements.

Qualifications:
Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT, MPT) Licensed PT in the State of Michigan APTA Membership - provided by HealthQuest Physical demands include extensive standing, walking, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs
Skills:
Displays observational, analytical, critical thinking, and creative skills to effectively complete job responsibilities. Displays interpersonal skills to successfully interact with all team members and lead by example. Uses good judgment to act responsibly and independently. Possesses physical capabilities necessary to complete job duties.
Responsibilities:
Completes patient evaluations, develops appropriate treatment plans, and establishes prognosis and estimated duration of care necessary to reach goals. Provides skillful patient treatment in accordance with HealthQuest philosophy of care. Completes evaluations, progress notes, and care plan notes in the established format and in compliance with HealthQuest quality assurance standards. Provides leadership, guidance, and supervision to Exercise Specialists who assist with patient activities, ensure patient safety, proper use of equipment, and proper performance of exercise through careful instruction and correction. Participates in the peer review audit process. Creates a Home Exercise Program for each patient. Engages in internal marketing strategies to attract new patients. Maintains good relationships with referring physicians and proactively handles misunderstandings as they arise. Communicates effectively with both patient and coverage therapist in preparation for scheduled time off. Maintains commitment to continuous professional development and is actively engaged in the Professional Development Program and/or ongoing clinical education endeavors.
