Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting early learners as a Physical Therapist at two schools serving PreK children. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in helping young students develop essential physical skills during a crucial time in their education. This contract position offers a three-day workweek (totaling 22.5 hours), with the option to consistently choose your preferred days. There is potential to expand to a four-day schedule after January, offering greater flexibility as the school year progresses.
Key Qualifications:
Current, active Missouri Physical Therapy license Previous experience in school-based or pediatric therapy settings is preferred Strong understanding of early childhood development and intervention strategies Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and families Organized, self-motivated, and adaptable to varying school needs Must complete district fingerprinting (provide TCN number) Comfortable with district technology requirements and documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver PT services to early childhood/pre-kindergarten students across two school campuses Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans targeting gross motor skills, mobility, and increased independence Participate actively in
IEP/IFSP
meetings and engage in multidisciplinary collaboration Document student progress and adjust therapy approaches as needed Provide education and support to teachers and families to help students integrate therapy goals into daily routines Travel between two nearby schools as needed for direct service delivery In this role, youll build meaningful connections with young learners and their families, all while maintaining a consistent, part-time schedule within the week.
