Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a Physical Therapist in a school-based setting for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year. This contract opportunity provides the chance to make an impact with a PreK caseload, focusing on early intervention and promoting positive outcomes for children at a pivotal stage in their development. The position is structured for three days per week, offering a balance that supports both professional growth and personal commitments. You'll collaborate with educators, families, and fellow specialists in a dynamic, student-centered environment dedicated to helping each child meet their fullest potential.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current and active Missouri Physical Therapist (PT) license Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred, but strong clinical backgrounds are also valued Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy programs for PreK-aged students Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, staff, and families Collaborative spirit and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Key Responsibilities:
Provide physical therapy services to PreK students according to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Conduct assessments to identify motor needs and establish treatment goals Document student progress, maintain records, and contribute to team meetings Educate school personnel and families on interventions and strategies Foster inclusive, engaging learning environments in partnership with classroom staff Enjoy the unique rewards of a school calendar while guiding young learners toward greater independence and confidence in movement.
