Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful opportunity supporting early learners as a Physical Therapist specializing in school-based care. Perfect for those eager to make a direct impact, this contract position focuses on early childhood evaluation and intervention for students who benefit from personalized, hands-on physical therapy in an educational setting. Enjoy a flexible, part-time schedule—up to 20 hours per week—where your mornings are highly valued, but your preferred days can be accommodated. You will primarily conduct diagnostic assessments, provide recommendations for services, and help manage an overflow caseload during a colleague's maternity leave.
Key Requirements:
Active Missouri (MO) Physical Therapy license (please include your license number with your application) Experience working in school or early childhood settings strongly preferred Expertise in diagnostic evaluations and crafting targeted recommendations for services Strong communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families Ability to work in-person at the early childhood center (no remote/virtual arrangements)
Main Responsibilities:
Perform thorough physical therapy assessments for young children Document findings and recommend individualized therapeutic interventions Collaborate with educational staff to support classroom integration of services Assist with overflow caseloads for treating PTs during staff leave Maintain compliance with school and state regulations Provide clear updates to caregivers and school teams on student progress
