Physical Therapist part-time 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars 1049 Simpson Highway 149, Magee, MS 39111 $65 an hour - Part-time Boswell Regional Center 78 reviews $65 an hour - Part-time Overview The Part-Time Physical Therapist provides evaluation, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions to individuals with physical impairments, functional limitations, and mobility challenges. The therapist works collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to improve patient independence, safety, and quality of life while ensuring compliance with applicable professional standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments. Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals. Provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, gait training, balance activities, and other appropriate interventions. Assess and recommend adaptive equipment, assistive devices, and positioning strategies. Monitor patient progress and revise treatment plans as needed. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and consultations. Educate patients, families, and staff regarding treatment plans, safety measures, and therapeutic techniques. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and professional practice standards. Provide recommendations to improve patient mobility, function, and overall well-being. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program. Current license to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Mississippi. Current CPR certification preferred. Ability to assess, plan, and implement effective treatment programs. Strong communications and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental, disabilities, long-term care residents, rehabilitation patients, or behavioral health populations. Experience in interdisciplinary healthcare settings. Physical Requirements Ability to assist with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility activities. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to travel throughout the facility to provide patient care. Work Schedule This position is budgeted for approximately 40 hours per month. Scheduling may be flexible and coordinated with facility needs, patient caseloads, and treatment requirements.
