Job Description

Vertis Therapy is a therapist-owned and operated company that is growing and is looking for a Physical Therapist for consistent PRN hours for during the week and/or weekends at our beautiful Assisted Living community in Meridian, MS. In this role, you will evaluate and treat residents to help them improve their independence, safety, and functional mobility. The Physical Therapist will develop individualized treatment plans, provide skilled physical therapy services, monitor resident progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. The PT will also provide guidance and supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) as appropriate.
Responsibilities:
Resident Assessment and Treatment:
Evaluate residents' functional abilities. Establish and execute a plan of care based on individual goals to improve resident's safety, functional mobility, and overall independence.
Documentation:
Complete timely and accurate documentation.
Supervision:
Provide appropriate guidance and supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants.
Professional Development:
Participate or lead team development meetings.
Wellness Programming:
Regularly lead community wide wellness programs and events.
Qualifications:
Education:
Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
Licensure:
Valid Physical Therapist state license or license eligibility.
Skills:
Strong clinical assessment skills. Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and assist clients as needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
Technology:
Computer proficiency to document in electronic medical record platform.
