Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) Demonstrated experience working in school-based settings In-depth knowledge of IEP development and implementation Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, educators, and families Ability to design and implement effective therapy plans for students with varying needs Adaptability and a positive attitude when engaging with students and staff
Key Responsibilities:
Provide skilled physical therapy services to students as prescribed in their IEPs Conduct thorough assessments and document progress to inform educational planning Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating on goal setting and therapy strategies Educate staff and families on at-home support and classroom accommodations to enhance student success Maintain accurate records and ensure all compliance requirements are met according to school policies and regulations Advocate for students' physical access and mobility needs within the school
