Physical Therapist | Acute Care | Hospital-Based Rehabilitation | Hickory, North Carolina Clinical Magnet, a division of ICON Medical Network , is looking for a Physical Therapist to join a leading 258-bed community hospital in Hickory, North Carolina. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity within their outpatient setting offering broad clinical exposure, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient mobility and independence. Why Choose This Opportunity $36.86 - $58.98/hour, based on experience Full-time, permanent position Flexible 4- or 5-day workweek Rotating weekend coverage approximately 1 in every 5-6 weekends Day off before and after worked weekend Outpatient hospital setting with broad clinical exposure Supportive onboarding and training environment MedBridge access for continuing education and CEUs Medical, dental, and vision insurance Three medical plan options, including low-deductible options Short-term and long-term disability coverage Opportunity to work alongside a collaborative, patient-focused clinical team Responsibilities Evaluate patients referred for physical therapy services. Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals. Monitor patient progress and modify interventions as appropriate. Provide evidence-based physical therapy interventions to restore function, mobility, and independence. Promote prevention, wellness, and health education initiatives. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care. Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and non-licensed personnel. Participate in rotating weekend acute care coverage. Maintain high standards of patient care, clinical documentation, and professional practice.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. Active North Carolina Physical Therapist license or eligible compact state license. BCLS certification or ability to obtain within 3 months.
Preferred:
Master's degree or higher in Physical Therapy. At least 1 year of clinical experience. Acute care or hospital-based physical therapy experience. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
