9668353-28105 Job Description Make a meaningful impact supporting young learners as an itinerant physical therapist in a school-based setting. This flexible, contract opportunity is ideal for a motivated professional eager to work with elementary-aged children in a collaborative, educational environment. Providing services for 2-5 hours per week, youll play a vital role in helping students achieve greater independence and participate more fully in school activities.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Physical Therapy license in North Carolina Previous experience in a pediatric, educational, or school-based setting is strongly preferred Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families Strong communication skills to deliver clear guidance and support Familiarity with developing and implementing IEP goals Flexibility and time management skills essential for itinerant roles
Key Responsibilities:
Travel between school sites to deliver high-quality physical therapy services Assess students motor and functional skills for educational access Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for elementary-aged students Document progress and maintain compliant records as required by the school Consult with teachers and educational staff to support each student's goals Participate in IEP meetings (as requested) to provide updates and recommendations This position allows you to make a significant difference in a flexible, low-hour commitmentfitting this important work around other obligations or contracts.
