Full Job Description Overview:
Physical Therapist - Neuro Outpatient Rehabilitation Are you passionate about helping patients regain independence, improve mobility, and achieve their highest quality of life? Join WakeMed's Outpatient Rehabilitation team and make a meaningful impact every day. We are seeking a Physical Therapist with experience in vestibular rehabilitation and/or aquatic therapy , or a strong interest in developing expertise in these specialty areas. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population while growing your clinical skills in a supportive, collaborative environment. What You'll Do As a Physical Therapist, you will: Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable, functional goals. Provide hands-on therapy interventions to improve movement, strength, balance, and overall function. Educate patients and families on exercises, injury prevention, and healthy activity programs. Design and fit appropriate orthotic devices and provide training on adaptive equipment as needed. Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and adjust treatment plans to ensure optimal results. Deliver compassionate, age-appropriate care to patients across the continuum of rehabilitation services. Patient Populations You'll work with a wide variety of patients, including: Neurological conditions such as stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, vestibular disorders, and other neurological diagnoses. Post-surgical orthopedic patients. Individuals recovering from multi-trauma injuries or generalized debility. Adult and pediatric patients. What We're Looking For Licensed Physical Therapist (or eligible for licensure). Experience with vestibular rehabilitation and/or aquatic therapy is preferred. Candidates with a strong interest in expanding their skills in these specialty areas are encouraged to apply. Strong communication, patient education, and clinical decision-making skills.
