Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Active Physical Therapy license valid in North Carolina Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy Solid understanding of IEP development and progress monitoring Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and families Flexibility, adaptability, and a passion for working in diverse educational environments
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess students referred for physical therapy and develop individualized, student-centered treatment plans Implement therapeutic interventions in accordance with students' IEP goals Document progress, prepare evaluation reports, and participate in IEP meetings Consult with teachers and staff to integrate therapy strategies into daily classroom routines Educate students, families, and staff about adaptive equipment, mobility options, and wellness strategies In this contract position, you'll enjoy the satisfaction of helping students achieve greater mobility and independence while refining your professional skills in a close-knit, school-based community.
