On-site - Turtle Mountain Middle School, Belcourt, ND 58316 Position Summary We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to provide school-based physical therapy services at Turtle Mountain Middle School in Belcourt, North Dakota. The Physical Therapist will support students receiving special education services by conducting evaluations, providing direct therapy, collaborating with educators and families, documenting student progress, and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings. This position requires on-site services within the school environment. Schedule Approximately once per week Monday through Friday Between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM School holidays excluded Responsibilities Provide direct physical therapy services to students. Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations. Observe, assess, and document student progress. Develop individualized therapy plans with measurable goals. Maintain therapy service logs and required documentation. Prepare written evaluation reports and quarterly progress reports. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff. Provide guidance and training to school personnel and parents. Recommend equipment needs based on student assessments. Deliver services professionally while respecting student privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications Applicants must:
Hold a current, full, unrestricted North Dakota Physical Therapist license . Be a U.S. Citizen . Be proficient in written and spoken English. Successfully pass a federal background investigation and fingerprint screening. Meet one of the following education and experience requirements: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy and at least 5 years of progressively independent school-based Physical Therapy experience; or Master's degree in Physical Therapy and at least 2 years of progressively independent school-based Physical Therapy experience; or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) with experience in a school setting. Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Preferred Qualifications School-based Physical Therapy experience. Knowledge of special education practices and multidisciplinary collaboration. Strong written communication and documentation skills.
