The role centers on delivering comprehensive physical therapy interventions, collaborating with educators, and ensuring students have access to the services needed to thrive academically and physically.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapist license in New Jersey Previous experience in pediatric, school, or educational healthcare settings preferred Knowledge of IEP process and documentation practices Strong communication and teamwork abilities Ability to adapt treatment plans to meet students' diverse needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate students' physical abilities and needs within the school environment Develop and implement individualized physical therapy programs, aligned with educational goals Document assessment results, treatment progress, and student outcomes accurately Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, supporting team planning for student success Collaborate with teachers, aides, and families to integrate strategies into the classroom and home Offer training and guidance to educational staff regarding best practices for supporting students' mobility and access This contract position offers a dynamic environment where your expertise can make a significant impact for children and adolescents.
