Position Overview Active Motion and Movement Physical Therapy is excited to invite a compassionate and skilled full-time Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team in Lakewood, New Jersey. In this position, you will demonstrate your expertise in orthopedic care and become a trusted ally in our patients' journeys toward recovery and optimal functionality. About the Organization Active Motion and Movement Physical Therapy is a premier orthopedic outpatient practice committed to providing exceptional care in a state-of-the-art facility. Our 5000 square foot sports medicine office is equipped with the latest therapeutic technologies and tools to support rehabilitation and wellness. We focus primarily on private medical insurance patients, ensuring personalized and effective treatment tailored to individual needs. We pride ourselves on a collaborative environment where the health and well-being of our patients are the top priority. Work Environment Located in the vibrant community of Lakewood, our facility boasts a welcoming atmosphere combined with advanced amenities. As a team member, you will collaborate alongside two experienced physical therapists and one professional physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our practice fosters an environment that emphasizes teamwork and open communication, allowing each clinician to contribute their unique skills toward patient care. Key Responsibilities Recognize and address the specific needs and goals of each patient through individualized assessments. Effectively manage a patient caseload, maintaining a focus on delivering optimal care at a rate of one patient per hour. Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities. Administer cost-effective physical therapy interventions aimed at maximizing patients' range of motion and mobility. Successfully guide patients through tailored exercise programs to minimize reliance on medications and avoid unnecessary surgeries. Motivate and encourage patients throughout the treatment process, reinforcing their commitment to their recovery journey. Evaluate and monitor patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed to ensure effective outcomes. Document patient interactions and treatment details accurately using EMR software, ensuring compliance and continuity of care. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver integrative care while maintaining open lines of communication. Foster a commitment to ongoing professional development by engaging in relevant continuing education opportunities. Patient Population / Client Focus At Active Motion and Movement, our primary focus is on orthopedic patients seeking rehabilitation for musculoskeletal conditions. Our clientele includes individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, sports-related issues, and chronic pain. We prioritize a patient-centered approach, ensuring that each treatment plan is customized to not only address injury recovery but also enhance overall wellness, strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Qualifications A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program. A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey, with no history of board or disciplinary actions. In-depth knowledge of manual therapy techniques that can be applied effectively in various patient scenarios. Proficiency in designing and implementing exercise programs tailored to individual rehabilitation needs. Experience using EMR software, particularly WebPT, to maintain comprehensive patient records. Preferred Experience Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist in a prominent orthopedic outpatient setting. A strong background in sports medicine, working with athletes and active individuals. Hands-on experience with diverse patient populations, including musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
