Work Environment As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at our rehabilitation center, you will work onsite with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to comprehensive patient care. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a structured workweek that promotes a healthy work-life balance. Our facility emphasizes teamwork and communication, creating an environment where therapists, physicians, and nursing staff collaborate closely to achieve the best outcomes for our patients. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical condition to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific orthopedic needs and medical histories. Administer hands-on therapeutic techniques aimed at reducing pain and improving mobility, such as joint mobilizations, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercises. Implement and adjust treatment plans based on real-time progress and patient feedback, ensuring an adaptive approach to rehabilitation. Document patient progress systematically in electronic health records, maintaining clear communication with the healthcare team about patients' advances and ongoing needs. Lead educational sessions for patients and their families regarding home exercise programs, preventative measures, and strategies for long-term health improvement. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on individuals recovering from a range of orthopedic issues, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will cater to patients of all ages, from adolescents to seniors, enhancing their quality of life by fostering recovery and restoring functional independence. Qualifications A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required. Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey. A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in physical therapy, with a focus on orthopedic conditions. Demonstrated abilities in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of evidence-based practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with patients and collaborating effectively with team members. Preferred Experience Specialized training or certification in orthopedic physical therapy practices. Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems to track patient data and progress. Familiarity with the latest therapeutic technologies, modalities, and rehabilitation tools that enhance patient recovery.
