Position Overview Active Life Therapists is seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our outpatient office in Marlboro, New Jersey. In this pivotal role, you will assess, treat, and rehabilitate patients with physical disabilities and impairments, implementing individualized care plans based upon clinical evaluations and physician recommendations. Work Environment You will work onsite in our vibrant outpatient office located in Marlboro, New Jersey, equipped with modern therapy facilities and resources to facilitate effective rehabilitation. Our work culture promotes teamwork and communication among staff, ensuring that all team members are aligned in their commitment to patient-centered care. The practice setup includes rotating shifts on weekends to better accommodate diverse patient needs, alongside a Monday through Friday schedule. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, including assessments of their physical function, health status, and any impairments resulting from injury or illness. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each patient while considering their age and developmental stage. Implement therapeutic interventions, utilizing evidence-based practices, and monitor their progress throughout the course of treatment. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of evaluations, treatments, discharge summaries, and corresponding charges to ensure compliance with professional standards and billing requirements. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists (OTs), and speech-language pathologists (SLPs), to design and assess effective intervention programs. Supervise and provide guidance to physical therapy assistants (PTAs) and other support personnel, ensuring high-quality patient care. Engage actively in problem-solving discussions with the Director to promote a productive work environment and contribute ideas for operational improvements. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on diverse patient populations requiring outpatient rehabilitation, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, neurological disorders, and musculoskeletal complaints. You will address their specific needs, working diligently to enhance their mobility, strength, and overall functionality. Qualifications A Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university. Current physical therapist license in the state of New Jersey. Strong verbal and written communication skills essential for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare team members. Proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills necessary for documentation and record-keeping. Preferred Experience A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred but not mandatory, as we value the potential for growth and development in new graduates looking to start their careers.
