Position Overview Progressive Care Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Metuchen, New Jersey. This full-time role (9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday) will allow you to leverage your expertise in orthopedic care to help patients regain their mobility and enhance their quality of life. Key Responsibilities Deliver individualized care to patients, focusing on their specific rehabilitation goals and needs. Manage a controlled caseload, ensuring each patient receives ample time and attention for effective treatment. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of orthopedic outpatient care, utilizing techniques honed through practical experience. Implement innovative and cost-effective therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' mobility and functional independence. Prioritize non-surgical approaches to minimize reliance on medications and foster long-term wellness. Create and adapt comprehensive care plans incorporating various evidence-based treatment techniques. Develop personalized fitness and wellness programs to support patients' ongoing health goals. Encourage patient motivation through positivity and guidance throughout their rehabilitation journey. Promote key fitness principles to help patients improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare team members to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Regularly assess treatment effectiveness and track patient progress with detailed documentation. Patient Population / Client Focus At Progressive Care Physical Therapy, our primary patient demographic includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. We take pride in our ability to cater to varying levels of mobility and fitness, ensuring that our services are accessible to all, from athletes to the elderly. Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, followed by a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required. Active Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey. No history of license sanctions or board proceedings. Expertise in manual therapy techniques and a track record of successful intervention strategies. Proficient in EMR software, particularly Web PT, to ensure accurate and efficient patient documentation. Strong understanding of contemporary physical therapy methods grounded in research. Preferred Experience Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with interdisciplinary team collaboration and holistic patient management approaches.
