Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to provide high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation services supporting patients throughout the Morris County region. The ideal candidate will have home health experience , with additional consideration given to candidates with experience in large acute-care or academic medical settings. The Physical Therapist will independently evaluate patients, develop individualized plans of care, provide therapeutic interventions, educate patients and families, and accurately document services. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, teamwork, communication skills, and the ability to manage moderately complex cases with minimal to no supervision. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and patient assessments. Establish individualized plans of care and treatment programs . Provide appropriate therapeutic interventions based on patient needs and clinical findings. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate. Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, exercises, mobility, safety, and home programs. Document evaluations, interventions, progress, and outcomes accurately and timely. Complete appropriate billing and clinical documentation. Exercise independent clinical judgment when managing moderately complex cases. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team. Support Lead Clinicians with competency development and implementation. Participate in orientation and onboarding of new staff members. Serve as a clinical instructor for students when applicable. Maintain compliance with organizational policies, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements. Promote safe, effective, patient-centered care. Required Qualifications Active and valid New Jersey Physical Therapist (PT) license . Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy academic program . Ability to practice independently and provide safe, evidence-based patient care. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English .
Physical Therapist experience:
0-4 years is strongly preferred. Preferred Qualifications Home Health Physical Therapy experience — strongly preferred. Experience in acute care , particularly within a large hospital or academic medical center. Previous clinical affiliation with Atlantic Health . Board Certification as a Clinical Specialist in an area applicable to acute-care practice. Epic experience preferred. Strong interdisciplinary teamwork and patient/family education skills.

Read, Write, and Speak Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a licensed New Jersey Physical Therapist who can provide independent, patient-centered care across the Morris County home health region . Candidates with home health experience and Epic familiarity are preferred, while acute-care/academic medical center experience is highly valued.
Pay:
$52.00 - $56.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Application Question(s): Active and valid New Jersey Physical Therapist (PT) license. Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy academic program.
Physical Therapist experience:
0-4 years is strongly preferred. Home Health Physical Therapy experience — strongly preferred. Experience in acute care, particularly within a large hospital or academic medical center. Are you comfortable working 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM - 40 hours/week? Are you able to work onsite in Morristown, NJ 07960? Are you available for a 3-5 month contract assignment with the possibility of extension? Are you comfortable with the pay rate of $52 - $56/hour? Do you have experience using the Epic EMR system?
