Job Overview:
The Physical Therapist is responsible for providing patient care and mentorship to the staff. The individual will assist in orientation and clinical competency training, monitor caseloads, and perform administrative duties as needed. They will serve as a clinical resource to staff and demonstrate advanced clinical skills and knowledge of the assessment and treatment of patients.
Qualifications:
Required:
Graduation from Accredited Physical Therapy Program Active NJ Physical Therapy Licensure BLS certification through American Heart Association Successful completion of all orientation programs
Preferred:
APTA Member CI Certification by
APTA Certifications and Licenses Required:
NJ Physical Therapy Licensure BLS certification through

Per Diem Essential Functions:
Develop an individualized treatment program based on the evaluation findings focusing on time-oriented, functional, and measurable short and long-term goals. Prepare appropriate and precise documentation, such as progress notes, reassessments, and discharge summaries according to policy and procedures; submit in a timely manner to support the need for continued skilled physical therapy. Participate in discharge planning throughout the patient's course of care; address problem areas appropriately. Independently meet productivity requirements on a consistent basis. Distribute patients to staff and ensure all patients are assigned and seen in a timely manner. Orientates therapists to designated rotation, providing instruction regarding treatment protocols and use of equipment. Assists with program development and quality improvement. Attends family meetings and conferences pertaining to the welfare and management of an assigned patient. Assists clinical department with identification, coordination and execution of organizational clinical specific projects. Assists with policy and procedure development. Maintains good communication with clinical supervisor and staff to ensure the integration of clinical and operational functions. Partners with the supervisor to identify clinical staff development and education needs. Participates in committee meetings as needed and sits on committee boards as they pertain to the department. Supervise and onboard students and participate in the maintenance of student programs. Performs related duties as required. Demonstrate flexibility with job responsibilities in all areas. Incorporates an understanding of economic factors in the delivery of services and maintains compliance with productivity standards of the department as specified in the staffing plan.
