Key Responsibilities As a Physical Therapist at Broward Care, your responsibilities will include: Conducting thorough evaluations of patients to establish their therapeutic needs and creating personalized treatment plans that reflect their goals and lifestyle. Administering various treatment methods, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and the use of specialized equipment to alleviate pain and improve mobility. Monitoring patient progress meticulously, documenting treatments, responses, and outcomes to tailor ongoing treatment plans as necessary. Reevaluating patient conditions regularly, adjusting therapeutic goals based on progress, and providing updated treatment plans when required. Educating patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and the proper use of any assistive devices to enhance independence. Maintaining current knowledge of industry standards through continual professional development via workshops, literature, and networking opportunities. Patient Population / Client Focus Our facility serves a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric clients, each grappling with various challenges including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and neurological disorders. You will have the opportunity to develop custom treatment plans for patients with varying levels of physical ability and health conditions, ensuring that you can make a significant impact on their recovery journeys. Qualifications The ideal candidate for this position will hold: A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy. A current state license in Physical Therapy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in computer skills and word processing. A commitment to patient care and a passion for rehabilitation. A strong ability to adapt and remain flexible within a dynamic team environment. A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is preferred. Preferred Experience While prior experience is not required, candidates should ideally have at least 2 years of professional experience as a Physical Therapist.
