Compensation:

The outpatient therapy team plays a critical role in supporting patient care by providing therapy evaluations and treatments to a wide variety of patients in the Adirondack Region. Assess Patients:

Evaluate patients of all ages, get to know their specific needs, and partner with them and their families to set realistic goals.

Provide Hands-On Therapy:

Run treatments using targeted exercises and specialized equipment, adjusting your approach on the fly based on how the patient is progressing. Keep the Team in the

Loop:

Write up clear, timely progress notes and discharge summaries, and collaborate directly with doctors and nurses on care plans.

Educate and Guide:

Teach patients and families about their recovery process so they feel confident and safe managing their health.

Mentor Others:

Help supervise PT students, aides, and volunteers, and share your knowledge with the rest of the therapy team. What You'll Bring (Qualifications)

Education:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

Licensure:

An active New York State Physical Therapist license (or eligibility to get one) and a passed state exam

Certification and Licensure:

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) (or obtained at time of hire) and a valid NYS Driver's License.

Skills:

Clinical Knowledge:

Solid understanding of physical therapy treatments and medical terminology.

Ability to evaluate clinical data and create clear recovery goals.
