Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students in a welcoming school environment near Hamburg, NY. This full-time, two-month leave position focuses on providing physical therapy services to a diverse K-12 student caseload. Your expertise will empower young learners to access their education and reach their fullest potential during the school day.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in New York State Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations is highly valued Strong collaboration skills to effectively work with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and educators Excellent communication and documentation abilities Adaptability and comfort managing a dynamic caseload of students in grades K-12
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct physical therapy interventions tailored to students' individual needs, fostering improved mobility and participation in school activities Complete timely evaluations and develop treatment plans consistent with educational goals Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional input and recommending strategies for student success Maintain thorough records and progress notes in accordance with state and district requirements Consult and collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapy objectives into the classroom environment Provide guidance and education to families regarding supportive strategies at home Enjoy the benefit of a consistent weekday schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:15 PM, providing balance and predictability to your work life.
