Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a full-time Physical Therapist supporting a dynamic school program in a vibrant educational community. This position focuses on delivering compassionate, goal-oriented care to students, helping them overcome physical challenges to achieve their fullest potential in the classroom and beyond. Working closely with educators, families, and fellow therapy professionals, you'll play an integral role in fostering growth and independence for each child you serve.
Qualifications & Skills:
Active Physical Therapist (PT) licensure in New York State Experience working in pediatric or school-based settings preferred Knowledge of PT assessment tools and intervention strategies for school-aged children Ability to collaborate effectively with teams including educators, parents, and other therapists Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills A passion for helping students thrive, both physically and academically Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) school experience is an asset
Position Highlights:
Deliver PT services for students as part of a respected school program Perform individualized assessments, goal development, and implementation of intervention plans Consult with teachers and support staff to promote student access and success in educational settings Monitor student progress, adjust plans as needed, and ensure compliance with IEP goals Provide education and resources to families and staff to support each student's care Maintain thorough and timely report documentation Why Consider This Role?
