• is hiring an assistant manager for their tasting room team!

Sloop's tasting room boasts a full service restaurant in addition to a bar dedicated to their rotating selection of craft IPAs, lagers, & more, with a casual atmosphere and a fun, fresh menu featuring pizzas, burgers, and diverse rotating specials. Our ideal candidate has previous experience managing the day-to-day operations of a restaurant or bar with full food service. Having knowledge of and a passion for craft beer and the craft beverage industry is a huge plus! But overall, we're looking for a candidate that is dedicated to delivering a high standard of service for our customers and providing leadership and support to our amazing front of house team.

Responsibilities include:

Training staff: ensuring customer service and standard of service expectations are met; maintaining and training on beer and menu knowledge.

Daily tasting room maintenance:

ensuring cleanliness of the space; printing and maintaining correct menus; updating and maintaining POS system; alerting management and marketing team when menu changes need to be made, drink or food item depletion, etc. (for website, DoorDash, social media, etc.); maintaining inventory levels and ordering for front of house supplies.

Events:

answering and coordinating private event inquiries; maintaining a calendar of all private events; executing events in coordination with management.

Employee management:

scheduling employees; adjusting staffing levels to account for special events and other busy times; maintaining labor parameters set by management.

Customer service:

Ensuring positive guest experience; booking and managing reservations; resolving guest concerns. Coordinating promotional efforts, revenue driving events, & community activating events with management and marketing; participating in the development of marketing & advertising.
