Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Active licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in New York Experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication and organizational skills Compassion, patience, and adaptability working with students of varying abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' physical therapy needs Develop and implement customized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as needed Support IEP meetings by providing expert input and documentation Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate therapy into classroom routines Educate staff and families on effective strategies and exercises Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations This is a contract role, offering you the flexibility to focus on what you love while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic school setting.
