Work Environment This position offers a dynamic work environment within our home care setting, focusing on delivering therapy onsite in patient homes. You will enjoy a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours available, typically from 9 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 4 pm. Our collaborative atmosphere encourages the sharing of ideas and continuing education, fostering both professional development and personal growth. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions, implementing tailored treatment plans aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, and overall function. Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including modalities such as massage, stretching, and specialized exercise regimens to address individual patient needs. Participate in clinical education by mentoring physical therapy interns and contributing to the training of residents and staff, enhancing the overall competency of our team. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate patient progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery. Engage with patients to motivate them through their rehabilitation journey, offering ongoing support and education about managing their conditions effectively. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on orthopedic rehabilitation, serving a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will work closely with patients to develop individualized strategies that not only enhance physical function but also empower them with the knowledge and confidence to manage their health proactively. Qualifications Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, ensuring a strong foundation in therapeutic principles and practices. An active New York State Physical Therapy license required, confirming your compliance with state regulations and practice standards. A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in physical therapy, particularly within an orthopedic setting, demonstrating your ability to provide effective care. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, vital for developing rapport with patients and collaborating effectively with the healthcare team. Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills, allowing for accurate evaluations and the creation of effective treatment protocols. Preferred Experience Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly preferred, showcasing your advanced knowledge and commitment to excellence in the field.
