Position OverviewRestore Strength Physical Therapy, Inc. is seeking an experienced Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team in Oyster Bay, New York.

Work EnvironmentThe position is primarily onsite in our outpatient office, where our therapists work closely with patients in a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.
Our facility is equipped with modern rehabilitation tools and technologies that enhance our therapeutic interventions.
The working hours are generally Monday to Friday, with schedules available from 9 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 4 pm, providing a balanced work-life environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans aimed at restoring functionality and mobility.
Implement various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, massage therapy, and modalities such as heat and electrical stimulation to enhance recovery.
Communicate effectively with patients to educate them about their treatment plans, expected outcomes, and the importance of adherence to prescribed exercises.
Engage in clinical teaching by mentoring physical therapy students, interns, and residents, sharing knowledge and best practices to encourage professional growth.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes, ensuring a holistic approach to rehabilitation.
Initiate and participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research efforts within the orthopedic department.
Patient Population / Client FocusThe primary focus of this position is on patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain syndromes, and musculoskeletal disorders.
As a member of our team, you will play a key role in helping individuals regain their strength and independence, significantly impacting their daily lives and overall well-being.
QualificationsA Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
Valid and active Physical Therapy license in the state of New York.
A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in orthopedic physical therapy practice.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
Strong clinical assessment capabilities and a demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative treatment strategies.
Preferred ExperienceBoard certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) is preferred.
Experience with specific therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation technologies relevant to orthopedic conditions.
