Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity to support K-12 students in a dynamic educational setting as a full-time Physical Therapist on a contract basis. This position, conveniently located near Saugerties, NY, allows you to make a meaningful impact through the end of the academic year, with the possibility of extending into the summer. You'll play a vital part in helping students achieve their physical and educational goals, while also fulfilling 450 compensatory hours. In this role, you'll provide high-quality physical therapy services to students across various grade levels, collaborating closely with educators, families, and other specialists. Utilizing your clinical expertise, you'll deliver individualized and group interventions, support students' progress toward IEP goals, and document your work in accordance with school compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in New York Experience delivering school-based physical therapy services (K-12 preferred) Knowledge of IEP processes and compliance Strong communication and teamwork skills Adaptable, organized, and motivated to work in diverse school environments
Professional Responsibilities:
Evaluate students to develop and implement effective therapy plans Provide direct PT services individually and in groups Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed Document sessions and maintain up-to-date records Collaborate with teachers, other therapists, and families for holistic student care Help facilitate adaptive equipment and modifications to support student success This full-time contract lets you make a difference in the lives of children and adolescents, offering variety and the chance to build meaningful relationships within school communities.
