Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity awaits talented physical therapy professionals seeking a part-time role in a vibrant educational environment. This contract position is based near Wappingers Falls, NY, supporting students at the Myers Corners Education Center. With a flexible two-day-a-week schedule, you'll be a key partner in empowering students to reach their fullest potential.
Desired Qualifications:
Active New York State license as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Solid understanding of IEP-driven services and documentation Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff Ability to adapt therapy techniques to diverse student needs and abilities Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct, student-centered physical therapy according to IEP goals Perform thorough assessment and develop individualized therapy plans Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to promote student progress Maintain accurate records of interventions, outcomes, and communications Educate teachers and caregivers on strategies that enhance student participation Contribute to IEP meetings and provide updates on student achievements As part of a supportive and professional community, you'll help shape the educational journey of students through impactful therapy and meaningful collaboration.
