Desired Qualifications:
Active Physical Therapist (PT) licensure in New York State Previous experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare settings strongly preferred Understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and familiarity with therapy goals in a K-12 environment Excellent communication skills for collaboration with educators, parents, and other therapists Positive, compassionate approach to working with children and adolescents Strong organizational abilities and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students and develop tailored treatment plans supporting educational objectives Deliver direct physical therapy interventions for students as outlined in IEPs Track progress and maintain accurate records according to school and regulatory guidelines Participate in team meetings, consult with teachers and family members, and provide training as needed Stay current with best practices and adapt therapy strategies as appropriate Support a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for all students This full-time role offers the opportunity to work within a committed school program, making a genuine difference for students and helping shape their educational journey.
