Key Qualifications:

Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of New York Experience in a school-based setting or serving pediatric populations preferred Comfort and skill working with medically complex children, especially those with combined visual and hearing impairments and cognitive disabilities Ability to design and implement creative, evidence-based interventions tailored to individual needs Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers Commitment to promoting student independence, engagement, and functional mobility in school and home settings

Responsibilities:

Provide two 30-minute physical therapy sessions each week for one homeschool student, delivered onsite at the district building Evaluate and monitor progress, adapting goals and methods as necessary Collaborate closely with caregivers and school staff to ensure a team-oriented approach Develop and implement customized strategies to help the student build strength, coordination, and mobility, maximizing her participation and quality of life Maintain timely documentation in accordance with school and legal guidelines
