Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a contract Physical Therapist supporting students' success and growth during a PT leave from mid-December through mid-March. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Must hold a current Physical Therapist license, valid for school-based practice. Prior experience working with school-aged children, ideally in a special education or inclusive environment. Strong assessment, planning, and documentation skills. Excellent communication abilities for effective collaboration with educators, families, and fellow clinicians. Capable of adapting therapy methodologies to meet individual student needs. Comfort with IEP processes and participation in multidisciplinary teams is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs. Assess student mobility, motor skills, and functional independence within the school setting. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to address students' physical development needs. Track progress, maintain accurate records, and update therapy plans as required. Share effective strategies with staff for student physical integration and participation. Participate in meetings and contribute your professional insights to student support planning.
