Primary Tasks:
Diagnose, evaluate, and provide physical therapy services to patients to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury. Guide the patient toward regaining the highest level of function and to live as independently as possible. Provide services to all ages from infancy through the end of life. Provide individualized rehabilitative interventions to habilitate patients with congenital and developmental delays. Provide treatment to guide these patients/parents/caregivers to achieve age-appropriate gross motor milestones and function. Evaluate and provide wound care including debridement and wound vac applications to all age groups. Maintain a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach by communicating with physicians, nursing, and other rehabilitative disciplines to promote a "whole" treatment approach. Provide education and instruction to the community on the profession, purpose, benefits, and scope of physical therapy. Complete and maintain records within the electronic health record. Complete documentation in a timely manner. Provide training to facility and clinic staff on safety, use of rehabilitative equipment, and in interventions related to physical therapy. Oversee and supervise physical therapist assistants, techs, and the ward clerk to ensure quality patient care and therapy services are delivered. Mentor and instruct physical therapist and physical therapist assistant students in the clinical setting to provide the best learning environment, being actively involved in their learning experience. Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
