Job Description•Physical Therapist (Acute Care Hospital)Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have experience treating a diverse patient population including orthopedic, neurologic, geriatric, and post-surgical patients. First-time travelers are encouraged to apply.

June 8, 2026 Requirements Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy experience required Active Oklahoma State PT License required BLS certification required Epic charting experience required First-time travelers accepted Experience in acute care settings preferred Candidates living within 70 miles of the facility are not eligible Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic, neurologic, cardiopulmonary, and general medical conditions Develop individualized treatment plans and establish short•and long-term rehabilitation goals Perform patient assessments including strength testing, mobility evaluations, pain assessments, and vital sign monitoring Assist patients with mobility training, gait training, transfer techniques, and therapeutic exercises Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety techniques, and injury prevention Provide rehabilitation care for stroke recovery, weakness, COPD, post-surgical recovery, and general inpatient conditions Utilize assistive devices and rehabilitation equipment safely and effectively Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care Maintain compliance with infection control and hospital safety standards Preferred Skills & Experience Acute Care and Orthopedic Rehabilitation Neurologic Rehabilitation Wound and Ulcer Assessment & Management Geriatric and Pediatric care experience Post-stroke rehabilitation Breathing techniques for cardiopulmonary patients Home Exercise Program development OASIS documentation Gait training and mobility assistance Experience with assistive devices and prosthetics Knowledge of Med Surg, PCU, ICU, and inpatient rehabilitation settings
Pay:
$2,500.00•$2,800.00 per week Application Question(s): Candidates who live within 70 miles of the facility are considered local candidates and are not eligible for this assignment.
