Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into an enriching contract opportunity, delivering impactful physical therapy services within an engaging school environment. This full-time, onsite position spans from September 8, 2026, through December 18, 2026, and focuses on providing maternity leave coverage for a K-12 caseload. Working as an itinerant therapist, you'll travel among multiple sites, collaborating with dedicated education professionals and making a meaningful difference for diverse student populations.
Key Qualifications:
Hold an active Physical Therapy license in Oregon Experience with pediatric or school-based physical therapy strongly preferred Comfortable managing an itinerant schedule across multiple school locations Able to provide contact information for your three most recent supervisory references Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills Self-motivated and flexible to adapt to dynamic caseloads Strong organizational skills to navigate multiple environments and schedules Not open to telepractice; must be available for onsite services only
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct physical therapy interventions to K-12 students, tailored to IEP goals Evaluate and assess student motor skills and physical needs, tracking progress over time Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to create effective treatment plans Document services, maintain records, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed Consult with educational teams on mobility, equipment, and school access Travel efficiently among assigned school sites within the district Experience the satisfaction of fostering student independence and achievement in a supportive educational setting.
