Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a physical therapist this fall. This on-site, full-time position spans from September 8 to December 18, 2026, covering a maternity leave across several school sites in the Silverton area. As an itinerant physical therapist, you'll work closely with students and educational teams to help young learners reach their fullest potential in physical functioning and independence.
Key Qualifications:
Current and active Physical Therapist license in Oregon Previous experience working with school-aged children (K-12) preferred Ability to travel between multiple school sites during the assignment Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills Not open to virtual or teletherapy; on-site presence required Three most recent supervisor references needed for application review
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct physical therapy services to students on an itinerant basis to support IEP goals Assess student abilities and develop, implement, and update customized therapy plans Provide recommendations and modifications to maximize students' educational participation Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including educators, parents, and support staff Maintain accurate and timely documentation on progress, reporting in compliance with school and state guidelines Consult and educate staff and families on strategies and adaptive equipment as needed
