9666144-19320 Job Description Make a meaningful impact supporting school-aged students on the autism spectrum as a skilled physical therapist in a part-time, contract role. This flexible opportunity offers you the chance to foster development and independence, working one day per week in a school-based setting near Coatesville, PA. Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team as you deliver compassionate, creative support tailored to each students unique needs.
Qualifications:
Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Previous experience working in educational or pediatric settings preferred Comfortable adapting interventions for students with autism spectrum disorder Aptitude for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families Knowledge of IEP processes and school-based documentation Excellent communication and organizational skills Dedication to fostering growth, engagement, and inclusion
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group physical therapy services targeting motor development, mobility, and functional independence in students Conduct assessments and collaborate on developing and implementing IEP goals Educate and consult with school staff and families regarding strategies for student success Maintain thorough, timely documentation and progress notes Support students in accessing their educational environment as independently as possible Adapt therapeutic activities to address sensory, behavioral, and functional needs Participate in student-centered meetings and team discussions Enjoy the rewards of a flexible, part-time schedulespend one day a week making a difference, while maintaining work-life balance.
