As a Physical Therapy Technician , you'll work alongside licensed Physical Therapists and the rehabilitation team to support patients throughout their treatment. You'll help patients complete their prescribed exercises, maintain a clean and organized treatment environment, and provide the encouragement and support that helps patients stay engaged in their recovery. This is a part-time position working approximately 20-25 hours per week. What You'll Do As a member of our rehabilitation team, you will: Assist patients with their exercise programs according to an established treatment plan under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist Guide and assist patients as they move between exercise equipment and throughout the treatment gym Monitor patients during exercises and communicate observations or concerns to the treating Physical Therapist Help document patient progress during exercises and treatment activities Clean and prepare treatment areas and equipment before and after each patient's session Change and launder patient towels and pillowcases as needed Help maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming treatment environment Answer phones and assist with scheduling patient appointments as needed Order, receive, stock, and maintain clinical supplies Support the Physical Therapy team with other duties as needed What You'll Learn Working at OIP provides hands-on exposure to outpatient physical therapy while helping you build valuable healthcare skills, including: Patient communication and customer service Exercise and rehabilitation techniques Orthopedic injuries and conditions Physical therapy treatment workflows Patient progress documentation Clinical teamwork and collaboration Professional interaction with Physical Therapists and other healthcare providers
Requirements:
Required High school diploma or GED Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with patients and clinical team members Dependable, organized, and willing to learn Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment Preferred (Not Required) We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every preferred qualification. Previous outpatient or healthcare experience Experience working with patients or providing direct patient support Coursework or education in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Therapy, Athletic Training, or a related field Interest in pursuing a career in physical therapy or another healthcare profession Why Join OIP?
