Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by providing physical therapy services to K-8 students in a supportive school setting close to Kennett Square, PA. This contract role is part-time, offering 30 hours per week during convenient school hours from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. You'll work primarily in the Landenberg, PA area, supporting a caseload of seven students who require compensatory services.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in Pennsylvania Experience working with children or in a school-based environment preferred Knowledge of best practices for school physical therapy Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, educators, and families Organization and flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of students
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality physical therapy services to students in grades K-8 Assess, plan, and deliver individual or small group therapy to support compensatory needs Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress, and outcomes as required by school protocols Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to help students achieve their individualized goals Participate in IEP meetings and maintain timely, accurate records for each student Offer guidance to staff and families related to mobility, adaptations, and optimal student support within the school environment This opportunity allows you to contribute directly to the educational growth and physical progress of students in a welcoming school community.
