This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in a collaborative, patient-focused environment while helping individuals regain function, improve mobility, and achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Clinic Hours Monday & Wednesday:
7:30 AM•5:00
PM Tuesday & Thursday:
7:30 AM•5:30
PM Friday:
7:30 AM•4:30 PM Full-time schedule consists of 8-hour shifts within clinic operating hours. What You'll Do Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide physical therapy treatments for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed. Collaborate with physicians, physical therapist assistants, and other members of the healthcare team. Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and recovery strategies. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Supervise and support Physical Therapist Assistants. Participate in continuing education, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities. Serve as a clinical instructor for students when applicable. Why Join UPMC? Required:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and patient care skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Ability to read, interpret, and document information in medical records. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Preferred:
Active participation in professional healthcare organizations.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the practicing state. Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification required within 30 days of hire. Act 33 Clearance Act 34 Clearance Act 73 FBI Clearance May, in the course of job duties, enter areas where medications are stored. No contact with medications is required.
