Physical Therapist - Early Intervention Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist to join our Early Intervention team, providing services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities. In this role, you will deliver family-centered, evidence-based therapy in children's natural environments, including homes, childcare centers, and community settings. Working closely with caregivers and an interdisciplinary team, you will help children develop functional motor skills while empowering families through education and coaching. Key Responsibilities - Direct Therapy & Family Support Conduct developmental evaluations as part of an interdisciplinary team to determine Early Intervention eligibility. Provide physical therapy services focused on improving gross motor skills, mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and participation in daily routines. Utilize a coaching model to educate and support caregivers, helping them incorporate therapeutic strategies into everyday activities. Develop individualized goals and contribute to the creation and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs). Support healthy caregiver-child interactions while promoting each child's overall development. Assist families with transitions to preschool, school-based services, or other appropriate community resources. Supervise students or interns as assigned. Collaboration Partner with service coordinators, therapists, educators, medical professionals, and community providers to ensure coordinated care. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, case reviews, and collaborative treatment planning. Maintain positive, respectful relationships with families while providing culturally responsive and family-centered care. Attend staff meetings, trainings, and continuing education opportunities. Documentation & Compliance Complete evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and required documentation accurately and on time. Maintain compliance with Early Intervention regulations, organizational policies, and billing requirements. Review medical information and coordinate referrals or consultations when appropriate. Manage an assigned caseload while ensuring timely follow-up on referrals and ongoing services. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all mandatory reporting requirements. Professional Development Stay current with best practices through continuing education, professional organizations, conferences, and independent learning. Participate in trainings related to diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and culturally responsive care. Qualifications Required Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program. Current Washington State Physical Therapist license. Experience working with infants and toddlers. Experience working with diverse populations and families. Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Current CPR, First Aid, AED, HIV, and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications (or ability to obtain as required). Ability to pass all required background checks and health screenings. Preferred Previous Early Intervention experience. At least one year of pediatric physical therapy experience. Bilingual (English/Spanish) or multilingual. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of pediatric motor development and Early Intervention best practices. Excellent communication, collaboration, and caregiver coaching skills. Ability to work independently while managing a flexible community-based schedule. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems. Commitment to providing inclusive, culturally responsive, family-centered care. Work Environment Services are provided primarily in homes, childcare settings, and community locations throughout South King County, including Auburn, Federal Way, Des Moines, and Kent. A combination of in-person and teleintervention services may be required. Physical Requirements Regularly lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Frequently sit on the floor, squat, kneel, bend, and actively engage with infants and toddlers. Ability to travel between service locations throughout the workday. Maintain reliable attendance and flexibility to meet the needs of assigned families.

Pay:

$95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
