Category Schools - PT - Telehealth Job Type Contract A part-time Physical Therapist opportunity is available providing telehealth and in-person services within a school setting in Lexington, NC. This contracted position focuses on delivering physical therapy care tailored for the educational environment, supporting students' mobility and functional needs.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting physical therapy evaluations and interventions via telehealth and onsite visits Collaborating with educators and staff to develop individualized therapy plans for students Supervising and guiding a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to ensure effective therapy delivery Monitoring student progress and adjusting treatment approaches accordingly Maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory and educational standards Qualifications and experience desired: Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in school-based healthcare Skilled in telehealth therapy methods and remote patient engagement Proven ability to supervise PTAs and support their clinical development Strong communication skills for working with children, families, and educational personnel Knowledge of pediatric physical therapy and school therapy regulations This position requires availability for approximately 10-12 hours per week and offers the flexibility to manage telehealth services alongside onsite responsibilities. The contractor role enables a focus on enhancing student outcomes through targeted physical therapy interventions within a supportive educational framework.
