Category Schools - PT - Telehealth Job Type Contract A professional opportunity is available for a licensed Physical Therapist focusing on telehealth and healthcare services within a school setting. This contract role involves providing physical therapy services with an emphasis on supporting school-aged clients in Thomasville, NC.
Responsibilities include:
Delivering physical therapy interventions primarily through telehealth, complemented by in-person sessions as necessary. Supervising and mentoring Physical Therapist Assistants to ensure quality patient care and adherence to treatment plans. Collaborating with educational staff to develop and implement effective therapy programs tailored to individual student needs. Maintaining detailed documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and communication with caregivers and school personnel. Adhering to all regulatory, ethical, and professional standards associated with healthcare delivery in educational settings.
Qualifications and experience desired:
Valid Physical Therapy license suitable for providing services in school-based and healthcare environments. Experience delivering telehealth physical therapy services. Previous work within school settings or pediatric healthcare facilities. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to supervise PTAs and guide therapeutic interventions in line with best practices. This role offers part-time hours, approximately 10-12 hours per week, providing flexibility alongside a professional environment. The position is contract-based, supporting healthcare delivery within the educational setting in Thomasville, NC.
