Job Description

Body Mechanix Physical Therapy is a privately owned outpatient physical therapy clinic located in downtown Wakefield, RI that has been part of the South County community for over 25 years. We are currently looking for an energetic, hardworking physical therapist to join our team. Our practice offers health/dental/vision insurance, retirement benefits, and paid time off, and holidays. Your weekly schedule is set with no unexpected changes to your hours or double-booking patients. We believe that spending quality time with your patients is the best way to deliver top-tier care. You will be supported daily by our team of physical therapy aides and our front desk staff, all of whom will work together to make sure your schedule flows smoothly. Our office has a gym as well as 7 private treatment rooms, ultrasound/IFC/infrared machines, and mechanical traction.
Responsibilities:
Perform the tasks required by a physical therapist in compliance with state law including evaluations, re-evaluations, development of treatment plan, and ability to accurately record treatment in patient charts. Ability to complete daily notes in a timely manner. Empathize with patients and provide care using manual therapy techniques, as well as customized exercise programs. Maintain continuing education to stay up-to-date on new guidelines and treatment options.
Requirements:
DPT/MSPT/BA
in physical therapy from an accredited program required. Current and unencumbered Rhode Island state physical therapist license. Ability to lift, position, and exercise patients (ability to bend, twist, lift, pull, push 10+ lbs). Previous orthopedic and sports medicine experience is a plus. Experience with patients of all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric. New graduates/newly licensed physical therapists encouraged to apply. Previous experience with documenting in electronic medical records. Knowledge of proper medical coding requirements as it pertains to documenting treatment.
Pay:
Pay is competitive and based on experience.
